Prism may refer to several things. First, there are spell prisms, items used for Multicast Spells. These are dropped (rarely) in thrasher chests and in Brax.

Second, there are the elemental prisms in the Desert, which are zones. These are end-game "raid" zones typically requiring a group of players working together in order to kill the prism guardians. In addition to excellent treasure, defeating each prism has a temporary effect in the desert and a permanent increase in associated resistances (at least until reincarnation). The first victory increases respective base resistance by 5%, maximum by 2%, and increases damage by 5%. Once cleared, the prisms remain so for 72 hours.

  • Draconians are immune to the Prism of Acid's acid rain (but not the severe damage when you fall off).
  • Half-Undines are to the Prism of Ice's water drain.
  • Half-Demons are immune to the Prism of Fire's lung-scorching heat (but not the stepping in lava damage).
  • Half-Elves are immune to the Prism of Life's overhealing danger.
  • Half-Orcs are immune to the Prism of Death's grasping darkness threat.


Phasing will expel you from the Prism.

You must have damaged the boss within 5 minutes of its death to get credit.

The Prism of Acid removes the damaging effects of acidic rain.
